충주시에 위치한 근린생활시설 신축건물에 해당되는 준공조경으로 들어간 프로젝트입니다. 법적인 조경기준에 해당하는 내용만 충족하는 방향으로 최소한의 비용을 들이는 반면, 건물의 가치를 높이는 방향으로 임대의 가치를 생각한 건축주, 건축사, 정원사의 힘을 합친 프로젝트입니다. 중앙 3층 부터 위까지 뚫려있는 보이드 공간에 중정이 자리합니다. 인공지반위에 자리한 중정은 3층 이후 실내 전면부에서 보이는 구조로 4면이 모두 고려되어져야 했고, 그에 회랑식 구조를 착안하여 형태를 구성합니다. 식재지의 스케일이 거대한 건축물에 호응하도록 포장되는 동선은 최소화하고 식재면적은 최대화시킵니다. 인공지반으로 건물의 하중에 영향을 주는 경우 경량의 토양을 쓰곤 하는데 그때 식물 생육에 부족한 점이 많곤 합니다. 비어진 사각의 화단에 식물이 전부인 구성인 점을 고려하여 식물의 생육에 초점을 두어 전용 토양을 사용합니다. 평면으로 동일한 지형의 부지는 수평감이 두드러집니다. 수평감을 헤치지 않으면서 수직성을 더하기 위해 넓게 벌려진 수형의 좀목형을 최소의 수량으로 최적의 구성을 형성합니다. 하부에 심겨지는 여러해살이풀은 빛 조건을 살펴서 숲 가장자리에서 자생하는 식물들을 식재합니다. 사초류, 대상화, 노루오줌류가 그렇습니다.
This project is a completed landscape for a new neighborhood living facility located in Chungju City. It is a project that combines the efforts of the owner, architect, and gardener who thought about the value of renting the building while minimizing the cost by only meeting the legal landscape standards. The central courtyard is located in the void space from the third floor upwards. The central garden, which sits on artificial ground, is visible from the front of the interior after the third floor, so all four sides had to be considered, and the form is based on a corridor-like structure. The scale of the planting area responds to the massive architecture, minimizing paved paths and maximizing the planting area. When we use artificial ground to affect the load of the building, we often use lightweight soil, which is not enough for plant growth. Considering that plants are all that's left in the empty square, we use dedicated soil to focus on plant growth. A flat site with the same terrain has a strong sense of horizontality. To add verticality without breaking up the horizontality, we use a minimum number of wide-spreading perennials to form an optimal composition. The perennials planted in the understory are native to the forest edge by looking at the light conditions. These include Sedges, Anemones, and Astilbes.
